Analyze the positive and negative effects of lubricating oil on INA bearings

One: bearing grease rheology:
1. When the grease is not subjected to external force, it can maintain a certain shape like a solid, that is, it will not automatically lose when it is at rest.
2. In the case of extremely high shear stress (high shear rate), the grease flows like a Newtonian fluid, and the viscosity can be kept constant without changing with the shear rate.
3. When subjected to weak external force, it will produce elastic deformation; after removing the external force, it can return to its original position and shape, showing the elastic properties of the solid.
4. When the applied external force is large enough, the grease deforms and flows, so that it can no longer automatically return to its original position and shape. Therefore, the starting torque of the grease on the mechanical running parts is larger than that of the liquid lubricating oil.
High ambient temperature, grease lubrication is not suitable for the current molybdenum disulfide grease used in forged mobile INA bearings. It is considered to be resistant to high temperature grease. We know that its base oil is petroleum products, plus a small amount of high temperature resistant molybdenum disulfide additive, which is resistant. The temperature limit is also 120 °C. And the machine has more than 30 oil injection points. Long-term operation and maintenance can not achieve this cumbersome oil-filling operation. It is only necessary to hold the thin oil pot to the outside of the running bearing sleeve. It is difficult for the lubricating oil to enter the friction pair of the bearing. The bearing is in a frictional state.
According to the test, the forging machine INA bearing working temperature can reach 200 ° C, which has far exceeded the grease temperature limit. Under such high temperature conditions, the base oil in the grease will become thinner and gradually evaporate, and the remaining carbon residue, molybdenum disulfide and dust will be mixed into a solid block to solidify on the cage of the dynamic spring bearing, which will not only lose its lubricating effect. It also hinders the normal operation of the dynamic bearing and wears quickly. It takes up to 2 weeks to stop, and removes the bearing to clean the grease.
Self-lubricating INA bearings have a wide temperature range, sufficient solid lubricant content, average release, good self-lubricating function and biteability, and can effectively protect the journal for long-lasting use.
